NEW YORK CITY (May 14, 2013) – Hello Health®, the only electronic health record (EHR) that generates recurring revenue for independent medical practices, has released a new application for iOS that securely connects patients directly to their physician’s EHR. With PortalConnect, patients can now keep account information up to date, access their personal health record, engage in secure messaging with their doctor and review notes from past appointments – all from their iPhone.
“As the health care industry continues to trend toward patient engagement and more personalized care, more and more practitioners will be looking to mobile health as an important delivery mechanism,” said Nathanial Findlay, founder and chief executive officer of Myca® Health, parent company of Hello Health. “Hello Health is built upon the premise that patients want greater empowerment and access to care. This app is the first-of-its-kind in that it connects patients directly into their provider’s EHR.”
PortalConnect is localized to support both English and Spanish. Future releases will include an Android-compatible version, as well as a similar app for providers.
